Membership Terms and Conditions:
The name of the club is The Malu Club (the “Club”). The Club is owned and operated by The Malu Club Limited, registered company number 15059759 and whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ.
Any questions concerning these Terms and Conditions should be directed to the Club membership team.
Key terms and conditions
- When approved for membership, the member will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as they may be amended from time to time.
- A member may only resign their membership in writing and directly to the Club at the above address or by email membership@themaluclub.com
- In the event of resignation, suspension or termination of membership during the membership year, the member will not be entitled to a refund of the annual membership fee either in whole or in part.
- A non-refundable joining fee is payable upon successful upgrade of membership.
- Membership
1.1 Persons wishing to apply for membership by emailing their application to info@themaluclub.com.
1.2 The Malu Club Ltd (TMC) may decline any application to become a member or for renewal of membership and shall not be obliged to give any reason for doing so.
1.3 The number of members at any time is decided by TMC.
1.4 Members shall be invited to renew their membership annually through payment of the annual fee. The amount of this fee will be determined by TMC.
1.5 The violation of any of these Terms and Conditions or any conduct unbecoming or against the interests of TMC will subject the member responsible to disciplinary action by TMC at their absolute discretion and may result in expulsion from membership and refusal of any subsequent application for membership.
1.6 Life Membership may be bestowed only by the Directors.
- Privileges
2.1 Membership enables all members to benefit from membership benefits. Full details of each year’s benefits of membership can be obtained online at:

2.2 TMC reserves the right to vary or cease to provide each and any benefits and shall not be required to provide any alternative benefit(s).
2.3 The selling or transferral of membership benefits or privileges such as merchandise discounts to third parties is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action by TMC at its absolute discretion and may result in expulsion from membership and refusal of any subsequent application for membership.
2.4 TMC does not accept responsibility for loss or non-delivery of badges dispatched to members or for postal delays. A charge will be made if a badge is lost and the member wishes to be issued with a replacement. Refunds will not be made in respect of unused badges returned.
2.5 All events and benefits organised by or through TMC are subject to the following payment and cancellation policy. Payment is required on booking of any event. In the event of cancellation by a member, the member will not be entitled to any refund from TMC. In the event of cancellation by TMC, an appropriate refund will be made at the discretion of TMC.
2.6 Membership includes use of TMC clubhouse (currently under construction) where only members named on the membership card may invite guests to enjoy TMC clubhouse. Guests must be accompanied by a member at all times. The entertaining member will be responsible for all charges incurred by their guests and for their guests’ good conduct and observance of any rules and regulations from time to time applicable to use of TMC clubhouse.
- Rights and obligations
3.1 A membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December each year.
3.2 Dues are payable in advance.
3.3 Failure to pay the required dues within the time specified by TMC for renewal of membership shall constitute grounds for forfeiture of membership and any privileges that the membership may include, and further, may constitute grounds for termination of membership.
- Data Protection and Compliance
4.1 In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, TMC (The Company) is registered with the United Kingdom's Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller to collect information. The Company gathers personal information, such as first and last names, contact details, addresses and email addresses to help the Company manage the membership. The Company also reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to fulfil the requests of members or to provide Members with information. Such communications will be provided to members by email, post or by telephone. All personal information that the Company collects about its members will be recorded, used, and protected by the Company in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. The Company’s privacy policy can be found at www.goodwood.com, which sets out the Company’s general and overarching policy regarding privacy and data.
4.2 TMC has put in place procedures to prevent any employees, agents or subcontractors from engaging in any conduct that would constitute an offence under the Bribery Act 2010 or which would result in liability for fraud, insolvency crimes or other corruption crimes. TMC requires any person who is involved in any way with it, whether as an officer, employee, member or guest or other associated person not to undertake any conduct which would or could constitute such an offence. Appropriate steps will be taken in relation to any person found to be in breach of this obligation. In the case of a member, this will result in immediate termination of membership.
- Disputes
TMC and the members should always seek to resolve any disagreements in a friendly manner and in good faith. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute will be judged exclusively by the courts of England. TMC reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
